FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – On September 26th, Craig Peterson, a third-generation Partner at RingSide Steakhouse, was thrilled to present an $8,000 donation check to New Avenues For Youth charity organization as a perfect finishing touch to RingSide’s 70th Anniversary celebrations this year.

RingSide Steakhouse Uptown, Portland’s premier classic steakhouse located in Northwest Portland, celebrated its 70th anniversary with a series of special events throughout the month of June, included a month long “Trio of Beef” menu and collaboration dinners with RingSide’s Chef Beau Carr and renowned Portland chefs like John Gorham, Chef/Owner of Toro Bravo, Tasty n Sons, Tasty n Alder and M.E.C., and Chef Andrew Gregory of Woodsman Tavern.

To support and honor the community they have helped shape over the last 70 years, a portion of proceeds from RingSide’s anniversary events were to benefit the New Avenues For Youth charity, a Portland organization committed to working in partnership with the community to prevent youth homelessness and provide homeless and at-risk young people the resources and skills needed to lead healthy, productive lives. Last week, Peterson presented an $8,000 donation check to Jessica F. Elkan, the New Avenues For Youth Director of Development, thanks to the success of RingSide’s anniversary celebrations. (Check presentation photo available by request).

“While celebrating RingSide’s long history in Portland, we also wanted to help create a brighter future for the young adults in our community by supporting the vital efforts of groups like New Avenues For Youth.”

For the last 70 years, RingSide has reigned as Portland’s premier classic steakhouse known for serving only the highest quality Certified Angus Beef Natural and Prime steaks. The Petersons and the whole RingSide family look forward to many more years as a pillar in their cherished Portland community.
